First Hotel with Free Alexa Access

If you happen to be staying in Seattle, Washington, soon, you might want to stay at The Alexis hotel.  Every guest room has an Echo Dot device, which allows you to order room service, check on local things to do and even give directions to get to the fitness center.  The hotel has partnered with Volera which has developed the technology to allow guests in the hospitality industry engage with Alexa.

Although back in December, the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas announced plans to equip all 5,000 rooms with an Echo, it is estimated to take about six months to get it complete, and should be ready by June 2017.  This could be an anazingly interesting way for hotels to engage their users.  I look forward to seeing more of this.
