Google Home Advances Home Automation

Google released their great new Google Home device before the holidays, and have kept up a steady pace to increase it.  Recently, Google added new support for home automation with support for Belkin's wemo (which supports smart plugs and light switches) and Honeywell thermostats.  Google already supported nest, Philips hue, and SmartThings devices.  So, this is a great increase in the capabilities of this device, and attempts to bring it closer to the huge support that the Amazon Echo has already gained.

A while back, Google also added support for controlling Netflix videos via it's Chromecast support, which initially only supported YouTube video control.  There has also been support added for voice control over displaying your Google photo library on your Chromecast.

I expect to see many more improvements coming from Google. They know that this is just the beginning!
